My Favorite Places to Shop for Home Decor

shop home decor

As some of you may know, I just recently moved into a new apartment. A new apartment, means lots of home decor shopping. I absolutely LOVE home decor shopping but there are so many different places to go to that it can be kind of overwhelming. I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite shops and items so that you can shop them if you’re looking for some cute home decor!

Anthropologie

Seriously my favorite place to shop. They honestly have THE CUTEST things. If I had an endless amount of cash, which sadly I don’t, I would spend it all at Anthro.

Target

I don’t know how because Target isn’t the most expensive store, but I swear all my money goes there. Their home collection, especially the new Opalhouse one has such amazing pieces.

World Market

If you’re looking for boho chic items, go check out World Market. I’m obsessed with their kitchen items!

West Elm

For a little higher end items, such as furniture or kitchen gear, I really love West Elm. They have such classic items with a modern twist.

Where are your favorite places to shop for home decor? Let me know in the comments below!

Off The Shoulder Dress

Dress: Express // Shoes: Steve Madden // Bag: Gucci // Earrings: Anthropologie {similar} // Rings: Monica Vinader, Anita Ko {similar} and BaubleBar

The other day I was FaceTiming with my mom while wearing this off the shoulder dress (as I normally do to see the puppies, duh) and she asked “did you get that dress for half off cause it’s missing a sleeve”. LOL old people humor. But for real, I got this dress from Express for not that much (it’s on sale right now for $50!). I’m really trying to dress up more in 2018, as I sit here writing this post dressed like a hobo…don’t judge me it’s freezing in LA right now. Dresses are the easiest way to dress up (pun intended) and look put together without putting in much effort.

Also, I’m going to Charleston this weekend for my birthday, woot woot! I seriously CAN NOT wait! Be sure to follow me on instagram @esthercollins because I will be posting a ton during my trip, showing you guys what I am doing! If you guys have ever been to Charleston, let me know your favorite places that I should check out. I’ve never been before so I am stoked!

A Day At The Getty

Last week my mom came to town which was super exciting because it had been a couple years since she was in LA. Most of the week we just hung out around the house while my mom cooked all of my favorite home cooked meals (#winning)! On the last day of her trip, my roommates and I took her to The Getty museum. We went to the Brentwood location, not the Malibu one. This was my first time at The Getty. I had heard great things from a lot of people, but I was still shocked to see how beautiful the grounds were. The Getty has one of the most spectacular views of all of LA.

While at The Getty, we checked out one of the buildings with paintings and photography. We saw Monet and Van Gough paintings, which were really awesome to see up close. After checking out the artwork, we walked over to the garden. The garden was so beautiful, serious GOALS. The scenery was incredible. I enjoyed walking around and just looking at the architecture of the buildings just as much as the artwork inside of them.

If you like museums and are in the LA area, I highly recommend checking out The Getty. I would definitely go back again and check out some of their other exhibits!
