We’ve all seen those tv commercials for “random act of kindness”, and every time I see those I get a smile on my face. February 17th is Random Act of Kindness Day and we can all do something to help! As you all know, I have a dog named Baguette (@mydogbaguette). She is the love of my life and I’m obsessed with her. My parents also have two adorable dogs, Mocha and Gizmo (photo above). So it’s safe to say I’m a huge dog lover. I wanted to talk to you guys about two animal organizations that I love to support.
ASPCA – The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is one of my favorite organizations. They do such incredible work to help with animal homelessness and cruelty. When the floods were happening in Texas, the ASPCA was working hard to provide shelter and food to those animals that were left abandoned on the streets. They are also a great resource to go to if you are looking to adopt an animal.
Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation – This is another incredible organization. They focus on helping abused and neglected animals by rehabilitating them as well as helping them find loving homes. They also rescue animals from the Asian Dog Meat Trade and bring them to the US to build a better life for these dogs.
Both of these organizations do such incredible work helping innocent animals get the lives that they deserve. On February 17th, I urge you to take some time out and help one of these organizations. Whether it be by volunteering, fostering, fundraising or even just donating a couple dollars. Any bit of help goes a long way!
You can go here for more information on how to help with ASPCA and Animal Hope and Wellness. Please take a small part of your day on February 17th to do something to help! You can also help out with whatever organizations that you feel passionate about. For more information on different nonprofit fundraising check out Eventbrite.
