The weekend before Thanksgiving, my roommates and I decided to throw a last minute holiday party at our apartment. This was basically just an excuse for me to cook and try out new recipes. I wanted to share with you guys the foods that we made because they were all a hit!
Cheese and Meats: First off how cute is this marble cutting board I got from Anthropologie?? I’m obsessed! I wanted to put it to good use so we got a bunch of different cheese and meats. Put your favorites together and mix and match! Put some grapes and crackers in a separate bowl and you got yourself a snack!
Cranberry Brie Bites: I saw a video on Facebook with this recipe so I wanted to recreate it. Here is a recipe for something similar. Instead of using puff pastry I just used canned biscuits. They came out SO good! I want to make these again! They were also good reheated up the next day.
Apple Gruyere Toast: I got this recipe a couple years ago from one of Carly Cristman’s videos. It’s my friends favorite and super easy to make! I make these at every get together we have, and they always go so quick! I couldn’t find the video because it was a few years old, but basically you take a baguette, cut it up. Place apple slices and gruyere cheese on top and bake at 350 until the cheese is melted.
Peppermint and White Chocolate Pretzels from Trader Joes: These are seriously my crack. I can’t get enough. I can pretty much eat an entire bag of these in one sitting.
Puppy Chow: This reminds me of my childhood. It’s such an easy snack to make and is perfect for the holidays. Here is the recipe for that.
Lemon Snowball Cookies (not pictured): I also baked these lemon snowball cookies that were AMAZING! If you love lemon then you’ll love these cookies. They literally melt in your mouth. Here is the recipe for that.
There you guys have it! Those are the things we put together for our last minute holiday party! What are some of your favorite holiday recipes? Let me know in the comments down below!
My best friend Catherine, and her older sister Annie put together an E-Book called “Monday Glow”. They created the book to help other girls just like me live their life in a healthy and happy way. I’m always down to try the hippest and hottest new health trends like going to a sweat lodge, or floating in a Dead Sea pool.
When I received the Monday Glow guide, I admit I was skeptical. I’ve tried many different fad diets such as paleo or juice cleansing (Blue Print to be exact), but I was pleasantly surprised to find the guide full of yummy meals with wholesome foods. After a weekend of dining out almost every meal, and going out with friends, I found myself lacking energy and feeling sick on Monday. This detox guide helped me to re-energize and get back on my daily grind.
My favorite meal from the Monday Glow Guide was Beauty Bowl for lunch. It was filling, vibrant and I loved all the nutritional information that came in the guide. I also loved the Egg Bake, which I’ve made before in a previous post. It’s one of my favorite recipes that Catherine has shared with me.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Monday Glow guide to any girl who wants to kick start a healthy diet and get back on track after a fun weekend. This is a great guide that has realistic eating expectations, with a lot of delicious recipes.

Hi everyone! These past two weeks have been crazier than usual. I’ve started training for my new job, and I GOT A NEW PUPPY! In one of my last posts I talked about Baguette, my new 4 month of Chihuahua. I’m absolutely OBSESSED with her. Having a new dog is definitely a lot of responsibility so I’ve been trying my best to take care of Baguette and train her while she’s still young. This weekend will probably just be another low key weekend with the new pup! Hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend!
